At Programmed, we’re looking for a Leader who can transform opportunities into victories. This role goes beyond writing — it’s about strategy, leadership, and influence. You’ll orchestrate the bid process end-to-end, ensuring submissions are not only compliant but commercially competitive, visually engaging, and strategically aligned with client needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with senior leaders, SMEs, finance, and operations across local and global teams. Align bid responses with strategic priorities and client expectations. Facilitate workshops and feedback loops to ensure ownership and buy-in.

  • Bid Project Management Lead the full bid lifecycle: pre-bid, bid, and post-bid activities. Manage governance processes, approval gates, and compliance reviews. Coordinate multi-country contributions, ensuring seamless collaboration across regions.

  • Commercial Strategy Interpret RFQs and develop competitive pricing strategies. Partner with finance and commercial teams to balance profitability and competitiveness. Support win strategy development and solution design.

  • Risk Management Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and operational risks. Ensure proposals reflect risk frameworks and compliance standards. Provide input into negotiation strategies to safeguard Programmed’s interests.

  • Bid Writing & Design Write and edit key sections with precision, clarity, and persuasive storytelling. Develop creative concepts for executive summaries, templates, and graphics. Collaborate with designers to deliver visually compelling proposals.

  • Continuous Improvement Drive innovation in bid processes, tools, and templates. Champion adoption of new technologies for efficiency and impact. Share best practices and mentor bid writers to elevate team capability.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in sales, management, marketing, business, or related fields.
  • Professional experience in energy, oil & gas, mining, trade, or other relevant industrial sectors.
  • Experience as a manager or senior manager in large-scale tenders, proposals or projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing and risk analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
